International Pharmaceutical Week (IPW) is an event for pharmacy students, lecturers, etc. from all over the world. This event includes interesting activities such as symposiums, workshops, various night events, and a lot of opportunities. Besides the Congress, IPW has a Post-Symposium Tour (PST). IPW 2018 is the second International Pharmaceutical Week held by ISMAFARSI and it will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia.
These are the list of events that will be held:
The symposium is one of the main events in the IPW. The symposium will present various speakers from each focused theme, including educational and scientific symposium. This event will be attended by all IPW’s participants. All participants are hoped to not only be present at the sharing session from the speakers but also to participate in Focus Group Discussion and to present their discussion result.
A workshop is an open event for all IPW’s participants with limited quota. This will be held parallel.
There are certain competitions in IPW, such as:
- PCC (Patient Counseling Competition)
In this competition, participants will be tested in terms of counseling knowledge about a certain drug.
- PDC (Pharmacy Debate Competition)
In this competition, participants will be given issues regarding the pharmacy world. They will later elaborate their opinion whether in the pro or contra side and maintaining their belief by debating with their opponents.
- ICC (Industrial Case Competition)
In this competition, participants will be asked to present their ideas about industrial marketing, distribution, and strategy building regarding a certain case
- PC (Poster Competition)
In this competition, participants will be given a certain topic regarding pharmacy and will be asked to present their opinions and research results regarding about that topic in the front of a poster.
- Online CSE (Online Clinical Skills Event)
In this competition, participants will be asked to answer questions regarding the pharmacotherapy world such as the suitable drug for certain diseases, dosages, drug interactions, etc. in an online platform.
4. Post-Symposium Tour
The tour will be held after the series of IPW events end so that the participants may choose whether to or not to join the event. This event is aimed to give participants opportunity to explore and enjoy Belitung from its touristic strength and to let the participants get to know each other.
